Can You Hear This?

Saturday, March 7th, 2009 @ 1:11pm

I got the idea from Noise Addicts, but I was curious about my range of hearing. I’ve had my fair share of ear infections and surgeries, so it’s likely that my hearing has been affected by such. The typical range for humans is between 20Hz and 20,000Hz. Thankfully, my range is still up there pretty well, as I can faintly detect the 19,000Hz range.

How much can you still hear?

Is this some kind of sick joke… I can’t hear anything!!!

Just kidding, I can hear up to about 18k Hz. I wonder if I can download this and use it as a ringer on my phone. I used to have this as a ringer in school so that my teacher wouldn’t hear my phone ring. Everyone around me hated it though.

    Peace out

Yeah, I’ve heard it’s actually pretty common for kids to use this as their ringtone in class so the teacher wouldn’t know when the phone rang or with sms. I could imagine it being quite annoying though to those who still had pretty decent hearing for that frequency.
