Downtime

Monday, March 24th, 2008 @ 3:13pm

I apologize for the downtime this weekend, but apparently I forgot to renew the domain where this blog was hosted. Everything is okay and back to normal now, so enjoy!

Anonymous Comments

Sunday, January 14th, 2007 @ 11:55am

I’m testing anonymous comments again, to see if I’ve foiled the spam bots or not. I’ll keep a close eye on things today to see if they’re able to get by it or not. If everything works out okay, I should be able to keep anonymous comments in.

Comment System Update

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006 @ 2:21pm

I was getting a lot of spam-bots in some older posts, so I disabled the anonymous comment posting for now until I figure out what to do. If you’ll want to comment, you’ll have to create an account and login (don’t worry, your email isn’t made public, I only use it for my use so that I can make sure I know who is registering/commenting). I’ll let you know when anonymous comments are available again.

One year!

Thursday, October 26th, 2006 @ 1:00am

cupcakeI almost completely forgot. It passed over my mind in the busyness of school, but I’ve officially been blogging for over one year! So many things have happened in the past year that it’s hard to even recount all of them. But in the past year, I’ve posted 83 times along with some number of comments. Although, I will have to admit it’s been over a year and I still have yet to really finish the site (namely because I’m lazy, and lack of time too). So maybe before year two comes around, everything might actually be finished! You never know…

I Miss My Car!

Monday, September 11th, 2006 @ 4:01pm

You don’t ever know how much you love something until it’s gone. I put my car in the shop today and I miss it already. Sure, it’s 5 years old and has a few dings here and there. But it’s my car with its own personality. Its green (which is the perfect color I might add…), small, compact, and gets great gas mileage for a small SUV. And it has awesome pickup too!

The car rental place set me up with a Jeep Laredo, and I really don’t care for it. It’s too new, and gets pretty much the same gas mileage as when I was driving the truck. And it feels big too… which I don’t like. But, I guess I really can’t complain too much since at least I have something to drive while my car is in the shop… and it’s only for one week! But I can’t wait to get it back!

Also, not that it’s of any interest, but I thought I would let you know anyway. I’ve finally put up an archive (not that anyone would want to look at) although, it’s one number off… so just add “1″ to whatever month it is you’re looking at. Also, I’ve almost finished the projects pages except for the graphics portions of it…

New Stuff 2.0

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006 @ 7:13pm

Now that I have a little time to myself, I’ll make an update to the blog about what’s been going on in the past week or so…

These past few weeks have been a little crazy. I finished up work a few weeks ago only to jump right into band camp. There’s a lot of new freshmen in the band, which is a great thing and I’ve had a good time getting to know a lot of them. I do miss a lot of people though who graduated last year and it almost doesn’t seem the same without them. I’ve been playing the timpani, but have been at the tenor sax a time or two. I’m having a blast, and can’t wait for the whole season to get started.

Went to White Water (Six Flags) this past weekend with Dana, Deidre, Beth Ann, Amber, Brett, and some other friends of Deidre’s from Huntsville. It was my first visit to White Water, and I had a great time, even though it was cut a little short by a pretty nasty thunderstorm at the end of the day. But all went well!

Things for the next semester seem to finally be coming together. My schedule is almost finalized, and school is all paid for. The hardest part I guess is just trying to be patient with everything and not rush it all. I know I’m going to need lots of prayer as I take a lot of steps I haven’t before in this next year of school.

It’s amazing though as I think back on the past 3 years of school and how much it has changed and shaped me. The person I was 3 years ago was almost a completely different person. I’m still me, but I’ve broken out of my shell a lot more than before, which I think is a good thing. It’s just so amazing to think that if that much has happened in the past 3 years, what more there is to happen in the 3 years to come. I’m excited!

New Stuff

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006 @ 1:25am

I’m testing out some new things now. There’s an RSS feed on the right that is now available to use if you like to do that kind of thing. If you’re having issues with the feed let me know and I can take a look at it. I’ve also plugged it into facebook as well, so I’ll be playing around with that to see what happens.

Band camp has been going on, but I’m really too sleepy to post anything new about the on going of my week. Maybe I’ll get around to it, maybe I won’t. We’ll see.

April Is Almost Over?

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006 @ 1:32am

Not that I really have much to say most of the time, but I’m not even really sure how many readers I have that actually pay attention. So I probably spend a lot more time in this site than it’s really worth. But I suppose I do enjoy it, hey it’s what I want to do!

So that brings me to what I’ve been wasting my precious freetime on, a completely brand new layout! It allows me to do a lot of cool things that I haven’t really done before, and it actually is nearly fully functional! But yeah, feel free to comment on the design or something if you really feel like it.

It’s hard to believe that this month is almost over, and school is nearing an end. It doesn’t feel like that long ago school had just started. Yet, I must admit April did move along pretty fast, it was quite a busy month with class trips and the like. I guess I’m nearly ready for it to be over, but not at least until I finish a few more projects!

Late Night Code Junkie

Thursday, February 2nd, 2006 @ 1:35am

I sure I’m probably going to regret this in the morning. But I’ve been working on the comments script for a few hours now and I believe I have most everything working as I had originally planned. Now your emails will no longer be listed, but rather your username should now point to your website, blog or whatever. Also, your login name and username should be two different things now as well.

However, I need those of you who have registered to do me a favor. Go to the comments page (any one is fine) and modify your profile making sure to update your name, and your website address. Please let me know when you have done so by replying to this post so I can debug yet even more and make sure everything is working. Off to bed now… Zzzz….

Due To Popular Demand…

Monday, November 21st, 2005 @ 5:08pm

You can now comment on the meaningless dribble that I might happen to post here. Keep in mind that it’s still in the early working stages and some pages may not function correctly or look astectically pleasing, but I’m working on it!

You’ll have to register if you want to post, just so I can keep track of things. If you don’t want to register, well tough cookies.
