Hole-In-One

Friday, August 22nd, 2008 @ 4:53pm

I don’t normally brag a lot, but I have to at least brag about this. Some of you may have been aware I went to the beach this past weekend, but in either case, that’s where I was. Aside from hanging out on the beach a lot, Clint and I got to play a good bit of golf.

There is this 9 hole golf course across from one of the resorts that we could play unlimited golf for the week. Sadly, I had been playing quite poorly on the first round until about the sixth hole. I tee up, and hit a nice shot exclaiming, “It’s about time, this is the best shot I’ve made all day…” only to watch it bounce on the green and into the hole for a hole-in-one.

Of course, I was (and still am) very excited about the shot, no matter how lucky it may be. I can’t imagine very many people can say they’ve made a hole-in-one in golf so I’m very proud of the achievement even though it will probably be the first and last hole-in-one I’ll ever get.

Long Time, No Post

I guess it’s probably about time to make another post, considering my last one was in March. I guess it’s been a combination of not having enough time, and not really feeling like posting anything. But just to let you know I’m still alive, here you go!

This past month has been pretty crazy (and interesting). Just got back from my cousin’s wedding in Nashville last weekend, so that was exciting. Played golf the morning before, and I shot a 105. Not an excellent score, but I guess it’s okay considering it’s only the 4th or 5th time I’ve played.

This week is pretty crazy too. Wind ensemble concert tonight, senior showcase on Friday, and a couple of recitals on Saturday.

It’s also hard to believe how close graduation is now. It doesn’t seem like all too long ago I was a freshman at Samford University, and now graduation looms around the corner. With graduation, it seems the inevitable question always is, “So what are you doing?” which I don’t quite have the answer to yet. There’s a lot of things I’d like to be doing, I just don’t know how soon those things might happen… In some respect, I can’t wait to graduate… but in others it seems like I will lose contact with a lot of friends I’ve made… I’m not quite sure how to cope with that yet.

I’m Thankful For…

Knock It Off!

In other news, I beat my brother (again) in golf this time by 10 strokes. He has yet to beat me in a game of golf… no, putt-putt doesn’t count either. Anyways, I went over to my grandparent’s house in Georgia and played a round of golf with my Uncle Kevin, my cousin Ryan and of course, my brother. Always nice to get away from home and do something like that.
