In a rare occurrence of weather in NYC, a F2 twister touched down in yesterday in the boroughs of NYC. According to the article, this is only the third tornado recorded to hit NYC since records were first being kept in 1950.

Safari Comes to Windows

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 @ 12:08pm

Apple launches a beta version of Safari for windows during it’s WWDC conference. While the release version is quite buggy at the moment, I welcome the coming of Safari to the Windows platform. This is a great opportunity for web developers, as well as providing more choices for web browsers on Windows.

If you’re interested in downloading the latest release, be sure to visit Apple’s website.

Teen Scares Burgular with Samurai Sword

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 @ 7:49pm

Further proof that swords are cool. In all seriousness though, it’s kind of sad that the thief that was captured was released on bond the next morning. Here are two kids that I’m sure are probably frightened to death, and one was willing to risk his life to protect his sister. Kudos to Damian and his bravery.

Fun With Google Maps

Friday, March 30th, 2007 @ 12:35am

swimming...Found a little something on Google Maps today. If you ever need directions from Birmingham, Alabama to Birmingham, England, it’s easy! The instructions are pretty simple. Just drive north until you reach Boston. Ditch the car, and swim 3,462 miles across the Atlantic Ocean until you reach the English channel, then jump ashore and drive to Birmingham, England. According to Google, it should only take 30 days, and 3 hours to make the trip. It’s that simple!

Banana Phone

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007 @ 12:30pm

I found a very interesting phone accessory today (click on the picture for the full story):

Banana Phone

Could you just imagine the looks on people’s faces as you walk down the street talking to a banana? Brings new meaning to the song Banana Phone.
