Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve been a little busy with things. I’ve been trying to get things back in order since Spring Break and adjust being back in school. It’s amazing what one week away will do to you!
So balancing projects, school, and play. It’s a complicated process! We have basically two different types of projects due for Computer Science. In my database class, we got the awesome oppertunity to visit some schools in Perry County and in sync with the database class here at Samford we’re working on designing a database that will help suit their needs. It’s a little daunting right now to try to keep track of everything that they want to keep track of, and a little crazy. But I’m sure everything will work out fine once we go visit them again to present them a design. The other big project that is due at the end of the semester is creating a interpreter for Tiny Basic which is based off of the programming language BASIC. But we have to create an interpreter in Java that will take in a valid Tiny Basic program. It’s a little difficult at the moment, and I have a feeling our whole group (myself included) is going to probably put this off until close until the end of the semester.
Oh yeah, play. Almost forgot about that. I’ve been recently playing Genso Suikoden V. This roughly translates into English, something like “Water Margin”, but of course that doesn’t make any sense. The story is roughly based off of a Chinese Novel with the idea of 108 Stars of Destiny. Basicly 108 different people band together as heros to overcome some sort of evil. Anyway, I’ve been really enjoying it and the game has a feel much like the original 2 Suikodens which is a plus considering that IV had taken a little rabbit trail from the series. But there’s neat little mini-games within the game that are always entertaining. There’s even RTS (real time strategy) type battles that are very entertaining to play! If you have a PS2 and have played any of the previous Suikodens, I would recommend picking a copy up (this means you Jered! ;)
I also have some other exciting things going on right now, but I’m not really in the position to talk about them yet. Hopefully when things become a bit more clear I’ll be able to release more information. Until then, jya mata!
