So, I completely forgot about the little fiasco that happened right before I left on fall break.
So my brother had come to pick me up at my apartment after he got off work so we could both head over to my grandparent’s house in Georgia for fall break. He had parked in my neighbor’s driveway, because the way this complex is designed our door is on the side of the apartment, and hers is out on the front making it appear as if that’s the only way to enter into the building. It’s a common mistake by many people obviously, I keep finding UPS packages there all the time, and several visiting friends have rang her doorbell as well.
Anyway, I grabbed my bags to put them into the car and our neighbor came back from walking her dog and preceeded to yell at us asking who we were. I explained who I was, and that we lived next door to her. Then, she threatened us by telling us that was her spot and she would call the police if she found us here again. I tried explaining to her that my brother didn’t know and that it was a honest mistake, and beside the fact that he had only been there 2 minutes but she didn’t seem to take it too well, even after I apologized. All this happened after she had previously told my roommate she didn’t have any problems with us parking there.
It makes you wonder though… she threatens to call the police on someone for something that was an obvious mistake that many people have made. And this, even though she had previously told us that we could make use of her spot. It makes me glad we didn’t take her up on her offer to dispose of our trash in her trash can as well, who knows what she would’ve done?
