Source. According to VGChartz, in a matter of only about 9 months Nintendo has passed the XBOX 360 as the best selling of this generation’s set of consoles. This goes to show that indeed fun may not involve the latest and most powerful graphics.
This was just so awesome, I couldn’t resist. I know you’ve probably seen a few of these “Mario” videos before, but this one is pretty decent! A senior at SUNY Fredonia arranged the theme from Super Mario Bros 2 as the finale piece for her percussion recital. Check the video out for the coolness.
I found another video of another game concert series touring called Video Games Live. I’m not as impressed by this tour, but they still seem to do a pretty good performance non-the-less. Some of this stuff sounds like it was pulled directly from the Orchestral Game Concert series (performed in Japan nearly over 10 years ago) so it’s not anything new.
