Video Games Live

I found another video of another game concert series touring called Video Games Live. I’m not as impressed by this tour, but they still seem to do a pretty good performance non-the-less. Some of this stuff sounds like it was pulled directly from the Orchestral Game Concert series (performed in Japan nearly over 10 years ago) so it’s not anything new.

London ’06:
Legend of Zelda
Super Mario Bros.
Sonic

There’s also a few other themes if you’re interested (and want to search on YouTube) such as Final Fantasy, Halo 3, and some other retro arcade themes.

Play! A Video Game Symphony

If you know me well, you will know that I love almost anything orchestrated especially if it involves any kind of video game themes. I happened across a couple of videos of a touring concert called, “Play! – A Video Game Symphony” that I would like to share. Enjoy!

Performed by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra:
Mario Medley
Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross Medley
Legend of Zelda Medley
Final Fantasy

Rumors say…

That I’m learning the clarinet as well. I have not yet to confirm these rumors… Oh wait…

Actually, I’m not really learning the clarinet. Mostly I was just curious if I could have any luck playing a clarinet, since I was learning to play the tenor sax. Needless to say, it did not go well. I think I might have actually gotten a few real notes out, but I really don’t remember anything other than the squeaks…..I think I’ll probably stick to sax.

Anyway, at least the week is almost over and I can enjoy myself a little bit more once I finish with my friday piano lessons. At least until saturday afternoon’s football game, but thankfully that won’t be too stressful. Maybe I can finish learning the rest of my piano concerto as well, you never know…

*Honk Honk*

So I finally was able to pick up a tenor saxophone today and make my best effort at attempting to play it, much to the dismay of my roommates I believe. It might take a while but I believe I’ll enjoy this once I actually learn how to play it as opposed to randomly honking out notes.
