To those of you who I won’t get to see or talk to over the next few days, I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas with friends and family. May your stocking be full of candy, and a hearty Christmas dinner to boot. Have great Christmas!

Well school is over, thankfully. This past semester was a pretty stressful semester, but I survived! I didn’t do as well as I thought I did but I made it out with a B+ average. I also made it out of Discrete Structures with a B-, so I’m pretty happy with that.
But at least Christmas break is here and I can enjoy some time off, and just relax! I was hoping to play some Growlanser over the break, but apparently Timothy’s PS2 is giving Disc Read Errors so I’ll have to wait a while until I can actually play it.
…Christmas break! Well almost. Finals are this upcoming week but I’m not really too concerned about those since the majority of my stress and overload is now over so I can finally relax some.
In other news, I went and saw The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe tonight. It’s been a while since I’ve read the books but I still rather enjoyed the movie and am looking forward to possibly picking up the books maybe this break and reading through them again. Although, I’ll probably see the movie again as well. It seems that to every movie that I go to that is fairly “new” there’s always people who bring their little brats there that laugh at the dumbest things and diminish the experience. Oh well, I’ll go during the day when it’s cheaper and less people (with better seats to boot) so that I’ll be able to enjoy it slightly more.
Well, it’s that time of year again. No, not finals but rather piano juries. Every music person is always stressed out this week trying to cram everything into the last moment. Thankfully, I have everything memorized finally but I’m still a little bit worried about it. I have yet to get an A in piano, with my best grade being an A- so I really would enjoy finally getting an A in piano, if anything it wouldn’t hurt my GPA either.
Concerto Aria is also this week as well. There’s 9 pianists in the peliminaries and only 6 get to go to the finals. I think I stand a pretty good chance of getting into the finals, but there’s some pretty stiff competition. I would love to win the competition, but will still be very pleased even if I only make it to the finals, I just hope I can get a little more than that.
So Samford had their annual Festival of Christmas Music last night, and I must admit it was very enjoyable. They had the Samford Orchestra play as usual along with the A Cappela Choir and the University Chorale sing various parts together and seperate. They also had a nice addition of the Bells of Buchanan. Although, I felt a little strange sitting out in the audience. For the past two years I was up on stage singing with UC, so I almost felt like I should be up there this year. It was really strange.
On to other news… We had a bunch of people over at our apartment last night. And needless to say, it was very interesting. Sadie, Julie, Laudrey, Cody, Kelly, Carla, and of course Jeremy were over here into the wee hours of the morning. And as you can see on the picture on the left, someone had a little too much fun. I didn’t realize Jeremy was that much of a pyro, but I suppose you learn something new every day. It seems that we like to have a lot of fires here in this kitchen… but at least we didn’t burn anything (or anyone) this time around. But I think everyone had a good time, at least until everyone pretty much crashed. I think Parker slept through half the party even… But yeah, we were up quite late last night, I believe until 3am, or at least that’s when I went to bed.
In other news, I beat my brother (again) in golf this time by 10 strokes. He has yet to beat me in a game of golf… no, putt-putt doesn’t count either. Anyways, I went over to my grandparent’s house in Georgia and played a round of golf with my Uncle Kevin, my cousin Ryan and of course, my brother. Always nice to get away from home and do something like that.
So Microsoft released their console this past Tuesday. Big fat hairy deal. Or so I thought. In order to increase the “demand” and create a big buzz surrounding the release they decided to limit the amount of consoles they would actually sell, so there would be a huge demand and low supply.
Well it worked. But interestingly enough, Microsoft is seamingly losing on a lot of profits because of this move. And looking at ebay auctions like this it makes me wish I had stood 20 hours in line to buy one just so I could resell on ebay.
You can now comment on the meaningless dribble that I might happen to post here. Keep in mind that it’s still in the early working stages and some pages may not function correctly or look astectically pleasing, but I’m working on it!
You’ll have to register if you want to post, just so I can keep track of things. If you don’t want to register, well tough cookies.
I haven’t quite figured out the point of this one. Apparently someone made the executive decision at Samford to dig a bunch of holes in the ground, or take out parts of sidewalks and then not fill them up/put concrete back in them so there are many paths that have been blocked off for at least a week. It’s really annoying when you have to walk all the way around these areas, which there are quite a few of. Oh well, maybe they’ll be done after Thanksgiving break…
